Production process

Technicians of our company are required to have graduated from agricultural colleges or technical secondary schools for agriculture.

Technicians are required to track the whole seed production process carried out by farmers and collect the information of every farmer and every plot during the production season, including the sowing time, the seedling number, the transplanting time, the off-type percentage etc.

Every step of the seed production is in the charge of a supervisor, who ensures that everything is under control and also oversees technicians’ work.

Before pollination, technicians are required to be in the field in person, to check on the male line, find out the off-types, uproot them and report to the supervisor. When everything is right and it is pollination time, farmers can start to pollinate. Then technicians are required to determine the time for pollination removal.

Pollination workers are required to have been trained by our technicians. The training includes the optimum time of emasculation and pollination, steps of emasculation, the right way to mark after pollination and other points for attention etc.

Before harvest, farmers are required to check on the fruits, pick off the ones from self-pollination, and find out the off-types once again.

The production progress of every lot is required to be reported and recorded in a file in a frequent and elaborate way. The reports are kept open to our customers.

Security of Genetic Material
Once clients sign a contract with BRIGHTSEEDS, all their information will be secured in accordance with a security procedure. And security of genetic material from clients is a particular concern. Therefore, based on work experience, a variety of approaches have been adopted to ensure the security of those materials, centering on the interests of clients.

Immediate and Overall Production Report
In order to inform clients of the growth condition of all crops immediately, BRIGHTSEEDS has worked out an effective procedure for production data collection, which records all growth stages of all crops. Meanwhile, our data collectors include all figures from the field into authentic, reliable and detailed production reports regularly, which are then sent to clients immediately via emails or faxes etc.
